ESG Clarity is delighted to announce registration is open for the Women in Asset Management US Summit

Held virtually, the summit will bring together key representatives from the asset management industry to collaborate, network and share with attendees their knowledge on how we can tackle the industry challenges head on and improve diversity in the investment industry.

The last few months have without a doubt been a rollercoaster ride for everyone. Pre-Covid-19, the investment management industry was already navigating an increasingly competitive era with margin pressures, technological disruption, and changing consumer preferences. These challenges are heightened further with pressure from global clients to be socially responsible – not only delivering on financial performance but also making a positive contribution to society, particularly in the face of the pandemic.

There is still a lot to be done to make real progress by way of gender and racial makeup of the industry, and furthermore, asset managers are the most influential capital owners in the world; it needs to change from the inside to be able to influence and persuade other corporates to adjust their behaviours and culture.

The virtual Women in Asset Management Summit will focus on changing the staggering statistics and bettering the outcome for the industry, with an agenda that will provide actionable tips and recommendations on how to adapt to the new asset management landscape, how to stay relevant in the digital era, where to find talent, and how to better understand the future workforce.

Industry representatives from across the world will be contributing to panel discussions and fireside chats on topics such as: The shrinking asset management industry, technology in asset management, the 2020 macro outlook, diversity through a regulatory lens, performance optimisation, ESG compliance, greenwashing, active vs passive with a sustainable lens, the workplace in a crisis, talent retention and much, much more. Speakers include Wincrest Capital CIO Barbara Ann Bernard, Northern Trust Asset Management president Shundrawn Thomas, Barclays Investment Bank’s US economist Blerina Uruci, Radiant ESG’s CEO Heidi Ridley, Legal & General Investment Management’s head of retail multi-asset funds Justin Onuekwusi, BMO Global Asset Management’s head of client management Niamh Fitzgerald, Bloomberg’s ESG research analyst Shaheen Contractor, Artisan Partners emerging markets portfolio manager Maria Negrete-Gruson, portfolio manager at JP Morgan Asset Management Katherine Relle and many more senior figures from the industry, as well as our very own Bonhill/Last Word Media editors including Liz Skinner, special projects editor on Investment News, Cheryl Cole, editor of DiversityQ, Natalie Kenway, editor of ESG Clarity Europe, Kristen McGachey, senior reporter at Portfolio Adviser.

The summit takes place from 9 to 10 September 2020 and there will also be opportunities to network with other attendees and post your questions to the experts.
